If you are the do it yourself type you could concoct your own ingredients to create some really natural insect repellents.

Using Essential Oils

Essential oils are a great alternative to chemical filled insect repellents. Creating your own natural mosquito spray with oils is less expensive than buying brand name products and you have full control over the ingredients. Some essential oils include:

  • Lemon Grass oil
  • Citronella oil
  • Peppermint oil
  • Lavender oil

Here are some recipes you can put together using the oils.
